TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The main function of zinc in the plant is to act as an enzymatic co-factor which participates in processes such as the synthesis of proteins and auxins. Zinc is needed for the production of indole acetic acid, which is the hormone required for inducing cell growth. Zinc is very important for all flowering plants. Zinc affects plant and fruit size and stem and leaf growth.

Symptoms of zinc deficiency start in young leaves and may show as a yellowish colour, small sized leaves and in irregular growth.

The most important functions of boron in the plant are:
a) To stimulate the formation of the root system
b) To promote synthesis and movement of the sugars inside
the plant
c) To promote fruit set
d) To increase the firmness of the fruit
e) Prevents flower and fruit drop/abortion.
